Connecting Browser Protection
- Install the NoFold extension.
- Sign in at trynofold.com and open Browser Protection from your dashboard.
- Click “Generate connection token” and copy the value shown.
- Open the NoFold extension’s popup and paste the token, then click “Connect protection.”
- The popup should show Connected within a few seconds.
Sync now / automatic synchronization
Once connected, the extension enforces your current commitments automatically — no manual step is required. It also re-syncs immediately right after you add a new commitment, and every 15 minutes as an automatic backup. If something looks out of date, open the extension’s popup and click Sync now to force an immediate check.
Incognito protection
Normal Browser Protection works in standard browsing windows automatically. To also enforce your commitments in Incognito windows, Chrome requires you to separately turn on Allow in Incognito for the NoFold extension (chrome://extensions → NoFold → Details). The extension’s popup tells you honestly whether Incognito protection is currently on or off — it cannot turn this setting on for you, and it never collects Incognito (or any) browsing history either way.
Browser Lock (optional, advanced)
Browser Lock is an optional, higher-friction setup you choose to install yourself, using Chrome’s own official browser management policies. Where supported, it can close common Chrome bypass routes — such as disabling Incognito or Guest browsing, and preventing the extension from being disabled or removed through Chrome’s normal extension controls. It only affects Google Chrome; it does not affect Safari, Firefox, or any other browser, and a device administrator can still remove it. NoFold never installs Browser Lock silently — you install and remove it yourself, through Chrome and your operating system’s own supported settings.
Managing or deleting your account
Go to Account Settings from your dashboard. Account deletion is self-service, requires confirming your password, and permanently removes your account and account-linked data — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes.
